Obituary

William David “Hippie” “Bull” Byington, 74, of Bulls Gap, Tn., formally from Richmond, Va., passed away March 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Alpha Byington; sisters, Nannie Thomas, Eliza Hale and Sue Mason; brothers, Verlie “Bud”, Grady and Earl Byington.

David was born in Scott County, Va.  He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Philip Morris USA, after almost 30 years as a fixer.  He was an avid “junk” collector, loved traveling and gathering with family and friends for a good meal.  Most recently he could be found enjoying breakfast and conversation with his buddys at Di’s Restaurant.  He was a hard working and generous man.  Wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend.  If he loved you, you knew it.

He is survived by;

Daugther; Kimberly Hall (Johnny)

Grandson; Wyatt “HeyBoy” Hall

Loving girlfriend; Linda Meade

Sisters; Jean Ketron (Joe) and Mary Phillips (Sherrill)

Also his beloved Baby Boy Ruffis

Along with a host of other relatives and friends

Per his wishes, cremation will be handled by McNeil Funeral Home, Sneedville, Tn.
