Howard Earl Johnson, of Sneedville, was born to Rev. Elbert & Chloe Johnson on December 8, 1947. Howard left his body of clay on April 7, 2021 to rest in paradise until that great day when Jesus brings his soul back to reunite with his glorified body. So shall he ever be with the Lord. Howard was saved at Briar Creek Baptist Church March 1975 at the age of 27. Then he announced his calling to preach soon after. He has pastored several churches and won many people to the Lord. He was pastoring Stoney Gap Church at the time of his death. He loved fishing when he wasn’t in the woods logging. Howard cut his own cedar to make his casket.
