Earl Maxey, of Thorn Hill, gained his heavenly flight on Friday, January 8, 2021. He was born on March 14, 1937. He accepted Christ as his Savior and Lord at a young age. Earl served as a Missionary Baptist Deacon for 39 years and was a member of Duck Creek Baptist Church. He was a dedicated employee of Powell Valley Electric Coop., who loved his work, for 42 years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father & grandfather. His life was a testament to his passion of hard and steady work. Earl endured and overcame many battles throughout his life. He now has won the victory. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor & Ibbie Maxey; his sisters, Arthena Sue Maxey, Adra Lee Price (Johnny) & Lorene Mullins and his brother, Ollin Maxey (Carol); father-in-law & mother-in-law, Warren & Anna Yount of Whitesburg and brother-in-law, Ronald Yount of Lenoir City
Earl is survived by;
His lifetime mate and devoted, loving wife; Lois Yount Maxey
Sons & Daughters-in-law; Barry & Stacy Maxey of Treadway, David & Julie Maxey of Knoxville and Jason & Jessica Maxey of Blaine
Grandchildren; Natasha Maxey Vogt (Joey), Holli Barger (Jordan), Hannah Sexton (Colt), Kayla Maxey Williams (Eric), Patrick Gibson, Chloe Maxey (fiancé, Collin), Jace Maxey, Sadie Maxey, Jaxon Maxey and Jenna Maxey
Sisters-in-law; Stacy (Allen) Johnson, Jenny (Dennis) Vandergriff and Shirley Yount

Funeral services will be held at 5 P.M. on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Duck Creek Baptist Church

Interment will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Hamblen Memory Gardens
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons; Joey, Jordan, Eric, Colt, Patrick, Jace, Jaxon & Collin.
The family will receive friends from 3 pm to 5 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Duck Creek Baptist Church
