Evelyn Elliott

Evelyn Elliott, age 90, of Sneedville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 17, 2024. She was born on January 7, 1934, to Noah and Mary Royston Keaton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elder Tyler James (T.J.) Elliott; her brother, Hairm Keaton and one great-grandchild. Saved at a young age, Evelyn joined Swan Creek Primitive Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member throughout her life. The church members loved her dearly and will forever remember her cheerful smile and her friendly hugs during fellowship. When she got happy in the Lord, she would often raise her hands above her head and clap them in praise.Evelyn is survived by; Her son; Junior Elliott & Karen, special daughter-in-law, whom she loved dearly Her daughter; Beatrice (Mack) Hatfield Her grandchildren; Rhonda (Kevin) Johnson, Karen Hatfield, Darrell (Whitney) Elliott, Jamie (Rebecca) Elliott and Marty Ferguson Her 11 great- grandchildren, including her beloved great-granddaughter, Marlie Ferguson Her niece; Teresa (Nick) Ferguson Her special friends; Patty & Ed MaddockEvelyn’s family loved her very much and they will forever remember her devotion to them. They will also remember her laughter, her strength, and her joy even in the midst of illness. As a praying mother, she was a bright light in their lives, shining her unconditional love. Evelyn also had many beloved friends, neighbors, and brothers and sisters in Christ, all of whom are blessed by memories of her spirit and her faith. She loved people and never considered anyone a stranger.Evelyn will be missed greatly by all who knew her, but her loved ones are assured that she is resting peacefully with the Lord.The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the McNeil Funeral Home Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Swan Creek Baptist Church with Rev.
