Eulis “John” Williams, age 79, of Sneedville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2022 after an extended illness, with his wife by his side. He was born to the late James “Jim” & Mary (Rhea) Williams on June 24, 1943. John was a retired (out-of-state) construction painter and sandblaster but his passion was making hand-made rustic furniture. He was a member of Duck Creek Baptist Church. John was preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Mary Williams; brother, Floyd Williams; sister, Frances “Nadine” Barker and his son, Paul Williams of MarylandSurvivors include; His wife of 55 years; Shirley “Cheryl” Williams His loving and faithful children; daughters, Dawn (Bill) Robinson & Denise Bowers and sons, David (Rita) Williams, Adam (Heather) Williams, James (LeeAnn) Kunkowski, Thomas Krausman and Johnny Williams of Maryland 11 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren Faithful Companion; his dog Chico Loving brother; James “Timothy” Williams Sisters; Betty Finazzo, Bert McKinney & Mary Lou Hatfield Special sister-in-law; Carolyn Sentz of Maryland Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles Special cousin Mary-Rose Hess of Maryland Special friends; Willie (Barb) Begin & Katrina Mahan, all of Sneedville All of whom he loved very much John will be missed by all who knew himThe family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Duck Creek Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 8 P.M. Rev. Kester Bunch officiating Special music will be provided by Alan Lamb & group Interment will be held at 12 P.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Rhea-Wiliams Cemetery on Newman’s Ridge in Sneedville Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons; Matthew Robinson, Johnathon Williams, Eric Williams, Nick Bowers, Wesley Smith & Isaac Williams Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bill Robinson & James KunkowskiIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Duck Creek radio station, WSDC 88.5 FMThe family wishes to express a big thank you to Avalon Hospice Care, case worker Jamie & special nurses Loretta & Tabby for the loving kindness you showed during our loved one’s illness.
