Obituary Edna Mae Hensley, age 79 of Thorn Hill, born June 4, 1943, passed away on November 6, 2022. She was saved at an early age and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Fred Hensley of Thorn Hill; her parents, Fane & Rhoda Collins of Sneedville; sisters, Cordie Collins & Linda Collins, both of Hancock County and brother, James Collins of Hancock CountyShe is survived by;Children; Melinda (Jamie) Brooks, Misty (Paul) Brooks and Scotty Hensley, all of Thorn HillGrandchildren; Victoria (Bryan) Hayes, Tabitha Barnard, Ryan Brooks & Lori Brooks, all of Thorn HillGreat-Grandchildren; Landon Hayes, Abigail Hayes & Natalie Hayes, all of Thorn HillThe family will receive friends from 10 am to 1 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the McNeil Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow at 1 pm.Rev. I have always loved Edna Mae and her family. I never saw her unless she give me a hug and told me to behave myself. She helped us in tobacco, garden and picking strawberries. My dad use to tell her he was gonna weigh her before/after she left berry patch. She will be greatly missed.
