Cleda Diane King

Cleda Diane Trent King, aged 65, ascended to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Diane moved to Sneedville, TN in 1970. A graduate of Hancock County High School, Class of 1975, she worked for the Hancock County Board of Education for many years and later received her Cosmetology License from Hamblen School of Beauty. Many people knew and loved Diane for her infectious sense of humor and her always, welcoming smile and kindness. She had a courageous spirit and fought many health battles for a very long time. So many have described her as one of the toughest and strongest people they have ever known. Throughout her toils, she never faltered in her determination to survive and was always faithful in her belief in the Lord and hereafter. Diane was preceded in death by her Father, Clarence Edward Trent. Grandparents, Cleatus E and Bessie M (Williams) Trent of Sneedville and Grandparents, Millard F and Myrtle (Fleming) Strouth of Clintwood, VA.She is survived by; Her loving Sons; Bradley Lee King and Chad Edward King and their father, Walter Lee King Mother; Joyce Raye Trent Brother; Clarence Ronald Trent Sister; Beth Renee Trent (Emily Smead) Niece; Eden Grace Smead Nephew; Reid Garren TrentWords cannot convey how deeply she is already missed by all of her family and friends. The family would like to extend sincerest gratitude to the Medical and Personal Care members that cared for her with love and support, and thanks to all that reached out, called, texted or visited with her, especially during this past year.
