John D. Snodgrass passed away at Hancock Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the age of 86.
John, Fern, and Deborah moved from Kyles Ford to Memphis in 1968 when he began work driving a truck for Roadway Express. John drove for Roadway for the next 30 years and he was very proud of having driven 3 million plus accident-free miles. John and Fern later moved to Olive Branch, MS where they both enjoyed spending time in their yard, gardening, and four wheeling with their Bear Tracker friends. After retirement and the passing of his wife of 57 years, Fern, he returned to his beloved Kyles Ford and the family farm. John was known for his hard work, generosity, and his quiet but unwavering love for his family. He was a member of Kyles Ford Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fern Cavin Snodgrass; parents Broten Snodgrass and Edna Snodgrass Johns, and stepfather Fred Johns and brother Stanley Snodgrass.
