Anna (Keaton) Mabe

December 24, 1929 ~ March 27, 2019 (age 89)

Anna Keaton Mabe of Sneedville, born December 24, 1929, departed this life on March 27, 2019, at Hancock Manor Nursing Home.  A kind and gentle soul, she had a genuine love for her fellow man and was always first to help others in their time of need.  She was the glue that kept her family together and will be sorely missed.  Anna was a faithful member of Clinch River Missionary Baptist Church who enjoyed teaching the children’s Sunday School class for many years.  Anna exemplified Christian devotion with her unwavering faith in the Lord.  She dedicated her life to both her church and her family. Preceding her in death were her parents, King & Ploma Keaton; sister, Ruby Mills; brothers, Ralph, J.E. and Clifford; and infant daughter, Janice

Left to cherish her memory are;

Her daughter; Judy (Herb) Aronoff

Son; Bill (Peggy) Mabe

Her precious grandchildren; Shelley Mabe, Abbey (Jason) Anderson, Josh Aronoff and Laura Aronoff

Her sister; Jewell (Larry) Trent

Her brother; Roy (Fern) Keaton

Her best friend and caregiver; Ella Pridemore

Several nieces and nephews

 

Anna’s family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. John Short and all who assisted in her care at Ballad Health and Hancock Manor

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the McNeil Funeral Home Chapel

Rev. Bob Davis officiating

Interment will follow in the Mabe family cemetery at her home

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the McNeil Funeral Home

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Anna’s name be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
